I'm sure it was quite the spectacle for those in the path of totality. As for me, I'm half way round the world and completely missed out. Fingers crossed for 2044. 😅

Quick personal update: (skip ahead for the content)

Earlier this month I was in Hokkaido, Japan (my first time) for 3 straight days on the slopes. The conditions were good for this time of year, although next time I'd visit in Jan-Feb for more ideal powder. The weather however was beautiful as I was treated to 3 bluebird days. Couldn't ask for anything better. 😍

As I write today's dispatch, I'm currently en route to The "New City" of Binh Duong about an hour north of Saigon, to run another race. This time a short 5K. If everything goes well, I'm gunning for a new PR. 🤞
